Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement end-to-end category strategies for MRO, FM, IT, Professional Services, and Capex to ensure cost-effective and compliant sourcing.
- Lead the full "Source-to-Contract" process, including RFP/RFQ, vendor selection, and complex contract negotiations encompassing price, SLA, and payment terms.
- Analyze spend data and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost reduction, standardization, and long-term value creation.
- Identify emerging supplier capabilities and pilot new service models to improve procurement efficiency and sustainability.
- Streamline the supplier base by consolidating spend and reducing the number of active suppliers while maintaining business continuity.
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs and dashboards to ensure service levels meet business expectations.
- Ensure all sourcing activities adhere to internal controls, ethical standards, and global procurement policies.
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, execution, and renewal, while proactively mitigating contractual risks.
- Act as a strategic partner to internal functions such as Production, Engineering, Finance, HR, and IT to align sourcing priorities.
- Support above-market initiatives and ensure local costs benchmark favorably within the global/regional framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Professional experience in Indirect Procurement or Category-based sourcing.
- Proven track record in managing multiple categories (e.g., MRO, FM, IT, Capex).
- Fluent in both Korean and English (capable of independent negotiation).
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Deep knowledge of the South Korean local supply market and trade practices.
Preferences
- Experience in multinational corporations (MNC) or matrix organizations.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP, iCertis, Coupa, etc.).
- Strong data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with IWS principles or continuous improvement (Kaizen).
- High level of ethics and compliance awareness.
