British American Tobacco Papua New Guinea has an exciting opportunity for a Production Scheduler in Madang, Papua New Guinea

Your key responsibilities will include:

Lead the development and execution of dynamic weekly and daily production schedules, translating demand into clear, actionable SAP plans while proactively addressing constraints to ensure consistent and reliable operations
Drive production readiness by closely monitoring material availability, identifying potential risks early, and taking decisive action to prevent shortages and maintain uninterrupted workflow
Enhance operational efficiency by optimizing production capacity, aligning with maintenance activities, and implementing practical solutions to manage constraints, reduce downtime, and improve output
Build strong cross-functional partnerships with planning, maintenance, warehouse, logistics, and leadership teams to align priorities, streamline communication, and ensure smooth coordination across the value chain
Strengthen performance outcomes by tracking production against plans, analysing key metrics, and supporting data-driven improvements to boost delivery reliability and overall effectiveness
Maintain high standards of SAP accuracy and process discipline, ensuring timely confirmations, reliable reporting, and smooth order closures while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

What are we looking for?

Proven experience in production planning and scheduling, with a strong ability to translate demand into efficient and executable production plans
Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems, with hands-on experience in managing production orders, inventory tracking, and data accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify risks, and drive informed decision-making
Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and communicate clearly at all levels
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in planning, reporting, and system transactions
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining high performance and meeting deadlines
