British American Tobacco Solomon Islands has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Officer in Honiara, Solomon Islands

Your key responsibilities will include:

Carry out hands‑on quality checks and product testing to ensure every material and finished good meets BAT standards, internal procedures, and local regulatory requirements.
Champion consistent, high‑quality production by monitoring GMP, hygiene practices, equipment care, and safe working habits across the facility.
Keep accurate, well‑organized quality records and support audit readiness through timely documentation and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Help identify and resolve quality issues by recording non‑conformances, contributing to root‑cause investigations, and supporting corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare clear, actionable quality reports, track key performance indicators, and contribute to ongoing enhancement of the Quality Management System.
Promote a strong culture of learning and improvement by participating in quality initiatives, sharing basic quality training, and encouraging safe, compliant, and consistent operations.

What are we looking for?

Diploma or degree in Science, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field, with experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a production environment.
Solid understanding of GMP, QMS, hygiene standards, and quality processes used in regulated or fast‑moving consumer goods industries.
Comfortable using digital tools, including Microsoft Office and reporting systems, to manage data and support daily quality activities.
Strong attention to detail supported by analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, and confidence in root‑cause investigation.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively, with clear communication skills for reporting, teamwork, and cross‑functional support.
Thrives in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment, with bonus points for experience in FMCG, tobacco, beverage industries, or familiarity with ISO standards.
