Job Title:  Marketing Management Trainee (m/w/d)

What’s it about?

As a Marketing Management Trainee, you will have the unique opportunity to lay the foundation for a successful and internationally oriented career. In this 18-months program, you will work on cross-functional and cross-market projects within Central Europe as BAT’s second largest area, including the end markets Germany, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic.

Starting Salary: 55.800€ + annual bonus

Start Date: Flexible – ideally January-February 2027

Language Skills: Proficiency in German & fluency in English is a must  

Location: Hamburg

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Gather exciting experiences from different rotations within Marketing department (e.g. Digital, E-Commerce, Offline Activation, Brand or Trade Marketing) in our German headquarters in Hamburg.
• Gain hands-on experience in our Sales function through a 3-month rotation in the Field Force, including extensive travel and temporary placement outside Hamburg.
• Learn how to develop brand strategies, implement and monitor marketing campaigns, juggle various channels across our area and much more to ensure our long-term success.
• Build your network beyond national borders with international exposure with collaborators in our offices abroad
• Plan your career together with one of our senior leaders as your individual coach, who will guide you through the program and commits to help you grow on a professional and personal level
• Help us shape our Marketing agenda and strategy to transform our business and contribute your own ideas on projects that make us best in class and drive forward our various brands like Lucky Strike, Pall Mall and Dunhill as well as our new category brands glo, Vuse and VELO™
• Drive your learning curve by working cross-functionally and managing different collaborators from peers to senior managers.

What are we looking for?

• Fluency in German and English is a must.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience, e.g. in Marketing, Business Administration, International Management or Communications
• Functional experience as an intern, working student and entry level positions (ca. 1 year)
• International experience, e.g. through a semester or internship abroad (min. 4 months)
• A courageous and passionate personality with strong communicative, conceptual and analytical skills
• Strong international career aspirations and global mobility
• A strong leadership approach
